Celebrating Wellington as the world’s most liveable city

60-second hero film

When Wellington was named the world's most liveable city we had less than 24 hours to create something fun to celebrate the occasion.

Challenge

When Wellington topped Deutsche Bank’s list of 50 cities with the best quality of life for the second year in row, WellingtonNZ asked us to create a campaign to celebrate the epic accolade. But, we had to turn the entire project around in less than 24 hours…

Solution

Fronted by a charismatic host, we created a 60-second hero film that leaned into a Kiwi tongue-and-cheek attitude and highlighted some of Wellington’s hottest offerings. From best grannys to best crannies, stunning insect inspired architecture to high tech traffic jam prevention systems, Wellington has it all and we captured and delivered it in less than a day.

Impact

In addition to the hero film, we also created a 30-second cutdown version with these running online and on brand channels, along with OOH, which ran in Wellington and Auckland Airports.
