What started over 12 years ago as a one-man-storytelling-band, has evolved into a hybrid creative and line production agency with values at its core.
Co-founders Ben Forman and Kat Lintott (Ngāi Tahu) created Wrestler to sit squarely at the intersection of creativity and innovation. Today we tell stories across multiple platforms; from snackable social to integrated campaigns, mixed reality and everything in between.
Advertising and entertainment are some of the most powerful influencers on Earth. Our aim is to harness their power for good by creating positive content that pushes the collective consciousness forward. Three core values - Planet, People, Creativity - guide which work we take on, the stories we tell, how we work, who we work with, and how we run our studio and productions.
Uplifting and reflecting te ao Māori, and adhering to Te Tiriti o Waitangi obligations, has been a focus for Wrestler since its inception — both internally and through our creative output. We are committed to partnerships, participation, and protection, and approach every brief with this kaupapa and our values at the forefront.
We currently have no full-time opportunities available, but we’re always down to connect with creative minds and collaborators to increase our contractor whānau.
We’re devoted to helping foster a creative industry that reflects the diversity of Aotearoa New Zealand. Stretch is our paid internship programme that invites upcoming talent from under-represented communities within the screen sector to work with us. In collaboration with our clients, Stretch enables participants to build new connections and increase confidence and capability in their area of interest, while aiming to break stereotypes and welcome a broader range of people and perspectives into all roles.
